Project Manager – Hinkley Point C (Somerset)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Delivery Teams for HPC Turbine Halls activities ensuring successful completion.
  • Maintain highest standards of safety, quality, time, and cost throughout the project.
  • Work within the Turbine Halls Multi-Disciplinary Area Team, partnering with supply chain collaborators.
  • Address challenges, resolve issues, and develop effective delivery strategies.
  • Create an integrated and constructable Level 4 schedule to mitigate risks.
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve area-specific issues; identify risks, and escalate critical matters.
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders and contribute to “Best for Project” decision-making.
  • Ensure construction and installation activities progress without delays (medium-term planning).
  • Lead discussions on sequencing, manage contractor interfaces, and collaborate across project areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned and knowledge capture into daily operations.

Skills and Expertise

  • Experienced Project Manager with background in integration and scheduling (construction or engineering).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in tools related to estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk management.
  • Strong management skills in project delivery, financial oversight, change management, and facilitation.
  • Significant experience managing contractors, consultants, and SMEs on large, complex construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully engaging large stakeholder groups and collaborating effectively.
  • Expertise in managing and developing safe systems of work, quality management, and multi-discipline EPCM projects.
  • Knowledge in engineering design, contract and field execution strategies, controlling costs, mitigating risks, managing schedules, and overseeing change processes.
