Key Responsibilities

• Commit to manufacturing safe and legal food while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Ensure all production requirements align with quality, cost, and delivery standards, and adhere to customer codes of practice.
• Collaborate with other Area Managers to identify and resolve production issues, prioritize workloads, and reschedule tasks to meet customer demands.
• Lead the team in achieving weekly targets, optimizing labour utilization, and reducing absenteeism.
• Organize work allocation, prepare shift handovers, and plan training and coaching for new team members.
• Attend meetings to facilitate effective communication between management and operatives, promoting a positive work ethic and team collaboration.
• Identify standards for hygiene, housekeeping, and incident reporting, while providing a safe work system.
• Investigate product non-conformances, engage with customers during visits, and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

Skills and Expertise

• 5 years in leadership roles responsible for medium to large teams.
• 5+ years in FMCG food industry supplying UK retailers.
• Proven track record of developing front line leaders and providing results in a similar business.
