Production Administration Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the production team with daily administrative paperwork
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Completing spreadsheets
  • Daily tracking of externally ordered items and processes
  • Accurately inputting and updating data in departmental databases and systems
  • Acting as a liaison between production and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensuring all activities comply with industry standards, team policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with Customers and suppliers both over the phone and by email

Skills and Expertise

  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing/production environment
  • Structured approach to work
  • Good organization and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Good IT skills with practical understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work with others and support others effectively in a team
  • Inquisitive
  • GCSE level 1 in both Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Flexibility in relation to overtime

Job Facilities/Benefits

  • Permanent role after a probation period
  • Overtime after 39 hours per week
  • 2 Saturdays between 7.00 a.m. and 12 noon per month on a rota (paid at overtime)
