Key Responsibilities

• Leading the development and validation of the company’s computational platform.
• Managing and conducting projects to support drug discovery efforts.
• Developing and implementing new functionality/capabilities for the existing platform.
• Creating entirely new tools and approaches, primarily within NLP/LLMs.
• Collaborating with biology, chemistry, business analytics, and bioinformatics/computational biology teams to understand requirements.
• Designing and refining platforms to support their work.
• Acting as a technical expert/lead and having significant input into technical details.

Skills and Expertise

• MSc/PhD (or equivalent experience) in relevant fields (maths, biology, bioinformatics, physics, statistics, data science).
• Hands-on experience designing, managing, and delivering computational projects within biotech/pharma/drug discovery.
• Ability to analyze large-scale biological data sets (preferably genetic/genomic).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, Java (or similar) with knowledge of software development practices (version control, DevOps).
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to translate requirements into workflows/tools.
• Track record of applying Machine Learning or Deep learning approaches to problems.
• Good understanding of NLP/Large Language Models and libraries (TensorFlow, Keras).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in solving technical problems.
• (For more senior candidates) Track record of leadership (direct or matrix management).
