Key Responsibilities
- Providing consistent high-quality food and service, assisting senior chefs.
- Liaising with team members to plan food provision for all kitchen areas.
- Ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to pre-agreed menus.
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and waste control for assigned areas.
- Ensuring food presentation meets senior chef standards.
- Adhering to all legal requirements, including fire regulations, security, licensing, and local authority stipulations.
- Maintaining Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards according to company policy.
- Demonstrating personal development.
- Completing any reasonable requests from senior management.
Skills and Expertise
- Passion for food
- Previous experience in a demanding kitchen at a comparable level
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, able to manage the team when Head Chef is absent
- Cost management, supplier negotiation, and relationship building skills
- Compliance with Food Hygiene and Food Safety regulations
