Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the vision and values of the school
  • Undertake some cleaning tasks
  • Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance and tidiness of the building and outdoor area
  • Open the building, ensure the safety of the area for staff and pupils
  • Undertake some general gardening duties on a regular basis
  • Operate machinery, including tools
  • Undertake duties to ensure the building is secure
  • Be willing to cover the Site Supervisor role
  • Be flexible in approach to work
  • Experience of general maintenance and DIY
  • Be a team player with the ability to work individually using their own initiative
  • Be able to follow instructions and direction

Skills and Expertise

  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to working within Health & Safety legislation
  • Willing to undertake any training required
  • Experience of general maintenance and DIY
  • Ability to work with others and independently
  • Ability to operate machinery
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks, manual handling, work at heights, and lone working
