Functional Assessor – Physiotherapist

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing individuals and the impact of disabilities/conditions on their work life.
  • Gathering medical history and performing physical examinations.
  • Creating concise and accurate reports for the DWP.
  • Meeting individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video.
  • Upholding best practice standards in assessments.

Skills and Expertise

  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with minimum 12 months post-registration experience.
  • Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision making (advantageous).
  • Continuous Professional Development demonstrated on CV.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • ECDL or equivalent (advantageous).
  • Understanding of clinical governance and customer service targets.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, negotiation ability, and adaptability.
  • IT skills and software experience.
  • Self-awareness and focus on professional development.
  • Integrity, maintaining confidentiality, and a commitment to quality customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be a reliable and efficient team player.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
