Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching STEM subjects
  • Planning effective learning opportunities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and assessment framework
  • Meeting the needs of students with ASD
  • Nurturing, inspiring, and motivating students with ASD
  • Forming positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and governors
  • Possessing excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Skills and Expertise

  • Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Evidence of outstanding practice with students with additional needs and ASD
  • Expert teacher within their subject specialism
  • Experience within an SEN setting or with discrete ASD groups in a mainstream environment
  • Experience as a Behaviour Lead (ideal)
  • High expectations of pupils and themselves with a desire for professional development
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, imaginative, and forward-thinking
