Nursery Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Care and supervision of children, addressing physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.
- Collaboration with Early Years Practitioners on activity planning and preparation, meeting individual needs, liaising with parents, and setting working targets for effective communication.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Providing engaging and developmentally-appropriate experiences, environments, and resources for children.
- Assisting with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Observing and supporting children’s development, accurately updating EyLog system and learning journals, seeking guidance when needed.
- Maintaining high standards of care throughout the nursery.
Skills and Expertise
- Passion and commitment to childcare.
- Ability to work shifts between 7.30-6.30pm, Monday-Friday, with 25-40 hours per week availability.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
