Nursery Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily nursery activities, including play, learning, and meal times.
- Assist in planning and delivering activities promoting physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children.
- Foster positive relationships, encouraging confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Assist with nursery preparation and tidying, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Observe and monitor children’s progress, contributing to records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing updates on child development and well-being.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience working with young children in a nursery setting (preferred).
- Caring, patient, and nurturing approach to child development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework (advantageous).
- Relevant childcare qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or 3, beneficial but not essential).
- Commitment to child safeguarding and welfare.
