Nights Housing Support Worker

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend shifts reliably and on time to ensure continuous cover.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks, including rent collection, answering calls, and providing information according to procedure.
  • Handle client interviews, move-ins/move-outs, inductions, benefit applications, and associated paperwork.
  • Provide a visible security presence through scheduled patrols and addressing arising issues.
  • Ensure building and entry point security.
  • Clean communal areas, bathrooms, toilets, and vacant bedrooms as needed.
  • Act as the professional point of contact with emergency and statutory services.
  • Monitor CCTV, address issues, and liaise with police to prevent damage.
  • Manage security, safety, disorder, and damage incidents within your authority, informing the relevant manager when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs of patrols, incidents, visitors, and other security matters.
  • Conduct and record routine checks on hygiene, fire, and other safety provisions.
  • Supervise access to the laundry and equipment loan (iron, hoover).
  • Promote engagement with YMCA Doncasters support programs, addressing non-engagement.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with members, users, and staff, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Adhere to YMCA Doncaster policies and procedures.
  • Participate in a varied rota for 24/7 service provision.
