Mobile Plant Operative

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the mechanical transfer of waste for onward transportation
• Operate mobile and fixed plant safely and competently
• Understand and comply with Health and Safety legislation, QA procedures, site licence regulations, Codes of Practice and other statutory requirements
• Maximize vehicle weights within legal and company requirements
• Ensure compliance with site permit/odour management plan
• Maintain and clean plant and equipment, including daily checks and reporting defects
• Keep the site clean and tidy through housekeeping duties
• Complete machine hours, defect sheets and other paperwork
• Undertake all reasonable work instructions to the required standard

Skills and Expertise

• Previous experience operating 360 machines in the waste/scrap industry preferred
• Excellent communication skills (team and public)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Punctuality and reliability
• Customer-oriented approach
