Mobile Building Services Engineer – Plymouth
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of electrical systems on numerous commercial sites
- Expert fault finding and providing advice and guidance to customers
- Understanding of basic plumbing (taps, sinks, cisterns, heating)
- Providing technical advice and guidance to staff and customers
- Delivering Corrective and Planned Maintenance
- Liaising with customers
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed
- Achieving cost, quality, and contractual objectives
- Promoting safety and setting an example
- Managing customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills and Expertise
- Electrical systems knowledge
- Mechanical power and control wiring
- Electrical installation test inspection
- Multi-skilled engineering
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Providing technical advice
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- 18th Edition Electrical Certification
- City and Guilds 2382 & 2391 testing and inspection certification
- Planned maintenance experience
- Experience dealing with customers
- Valid UK driving licence (no endorsements preferred)
- Computer literacy (advantageous)
- IPAF and MEWP training (ideal)
Job Facilities/Benefits
- 33,800.41 per annum + standby allowance (290/week)
- Overtime rate for callouts
- 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years
- Bank holidays
- Permanent, full-time contract (37.5 hours/week)
- Vehicle provided for travel
- Flexibility in working hours (typical 08:00-16:00)
- Out-of-hours callout rota (1 in 4 weeks)
