Assistant Curriculum Leader – Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a personalised educational programme for all students based on robust assessment.
  • Leading the development of effective teaching and learning strategies aligned with school and national policy.
  • Leading strategic interventions to improve student achievement and attainment, evaluating their impact.
  • Monitoring planning, curriculum coverage, and learning outcomes for the MFL curriculum.
  • Creating a positive learning environment for students.
  • Ensuring positive behaviour for learning in accordance with school policy.
  • Establishing and monitoring individual student targets for each year group.
  • Reviewing student progress and taking necessary action.
  • Ensuring compliance with school’s assessment, recording, and reporting procedures.

Skills and Expertise

  • Thorough subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and develop appropriate learning activities.
  • Ability to consistently deliver outstanding lessons.
