Mental Health Support Worker – Children’s Ward

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recovery and provide care to children and young people in mental health or behavioural crisis.
  • Ensure positive and safe care experiences for children and young people.
  • Pro-actively support Registered Nurses in providing high-quality, holistic, child-centred care.
  • Give clinical and personal care to patients as required.
  • Help maintain a suitable environment for providing the highest standard of care.

Skills and Expertise

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Calm approach
  • Ability to interact well with children and young people
  • Passionate and willing to listen
  • Interested in learning and applying new skills
  • Experience working with children and young people (desirable)
  • Experience in healthcare, specifically mental health or learning disabilities (desirable)
