Mental Health Support Worker – Children’s Ward
Key Responsibilities
- Support recovery and provide care to children and young people in mental health or behavioural crisis.
- Ensure positive and safe care experiences for children and young people.
- Pro-actively support Registered Nurses in providing high-quality, holistic, child-centred care.
- Give clinical and personal care to patients as required.
- Help maintain a suitable environment for providing the highest standard of care.
Skills and Expertise
- Excellent communication skills
- Calm approach
- Ability to interact well with children and young people
- Passionate and willing to listen
- Interested in learning and applying new skills
- Experience working with children and young people (desirable)
- Experience in healthcare, specifically mental health or learning disabilities (desirable)
