Head of Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
- Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle a variety of maintenance tasks in the care home building and grounds (e.g., fixing leaky taps, planting bulbs).
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
- Liaise with contractors for tasks outside the team’s expertise.
Skills and Expertise
- Hands-on experience in property maintenance.
- At least one trade skill.
- Ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks.
- Reliability and flexibility.
- Full UK driving licence.
- IT literacy.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Sensitivity to resident needs.
