Maintenance Person
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety of Service Users, visitors, and employees.
- Performing health and safety checks on buildings, environment, and equipment.
- Entering resident rooms and interacting with individuals with dementia.
- Working with other staff to maintain care home safety.
Skills and Expertise
- Relevant qualification (preferred) or willingness to acquire one.
- Understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
- Pressure management, task prioritization, and effective communication at all levels.
- Genuine interest in care environments.
- Health and Safety checks of buildings, environment, and equipment.
- Empathy and understanding of older people.
- Leadership and teamwork skills.
- Self-management and time management skills.
- Valid Clean Driving Licence.
