Nursery Practitioner – Level 3
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and ensure the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- Ensure company policies and procedures are read, applied, reviewed regularly and adhered to by all
- Observe, support and extend childrens development, update the EyLog system and childrens learning journals with the highest quality and relevance
- Ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff:child ratios
- Ensure positive partnerships with parents/carers with thorough handover on daily collection and encourage their involvement in the nursery
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- Ensure that each childs individual needs are met and a high standard of professional care and education is delivered in a caring, safe and secure environment in which all children can play, learn and develop
- Observe, assess and plan an interesting, stimulating and challenging range of early years activities which supports each childs individual learning and development needs and abilities
Skills and Expertise
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Over 1 years experience of working in Early Years (desirable)
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements (desirable)
