Leather Furniture Repair Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing leather
- Applying colour and finishes to leather
- Assisting workshop manager
- Maintaining and tidying workshop
- Maintaining leather technician equipment
- Lifting and moving furniture
- Collecting and delivering furniture to customers
- Stripping covers from furniture
- Measuring/ordering and replacing foam interiors
- Re-webbing and fitting dust sheets
- Fitting feet to furniture
- Wrapping furniture for deliveries
Skills and Expertise
- Good eye for colour and attention to detail
- Practical, hands-on work experience
- Experience with hardware tools (hammers, drills, staple guns)
- Woodwork experience (beneficial)
- Teamwork and good work ethic
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to take instruction
- Health and safety and Risk Assessment awareness
- Well-presented and friendly manner
- Good communication skills
- Good understanding of English
