Learning & Development Business Partner – Liverpool

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and oversee leadership engagement and development programme interventions, meeting individual and business needs.
  • Design and oversee the Groups annual training plans with key stakeholders.
  • Review learning interventions, processes, and systems throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring maximum impact and user experience.
  • Provide leadership, line management, development, and support to the Learning and Development Coordinator.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders, managers, and the People Services team to develop learning and development strategies supporting colleague retention.
  • Evaluate future skill, capability, and capacity needs in liaison with senior leaders and business partners.
  • Design and deliver learning and development interventions considering new advances in technology.
  • Oversee the Torus apprenticeship levy programme, maximizing use of the levy.
  • Be responsible for the Torus LMS platform, learning activities, and accurate records and reporting.
  • Work with existing and new suppliers to ensure value for money.
  • Ensure all learning and development processes are documented, easy to follow, and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure that all learning and development reporting is scheduled and delivered, including non-attendance reporting and KPI measurement.
  • Ensure SLA fulfillment, provide MI, analysis, and long-term plans with People Services Business Partners.
  • Evaluate the impact and outcomes of learning interventions and promote outcomes to colleagues.
  • Promote Learning and Development activities via internal social media to encourage engagement.
  • Be responsible for the learning and development budget, ensuring accurate management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the People Strategy in areas of attraction, engagement, retention, and reward.

Skills and Expertise

  • CIPD Advanced Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
  • Qualified and experienced coach.
  • Commitment to continual professional, leadership, and personal development.
  • Track record of delivering an effective learning and development service in a fast-moving large organisation.
  • Track record of facilitating effective learning interventions to meet business objectives, including leadership development.
  • Track record in supporting managers to deliver effective people performance practices.
  • Experience operating collaboratively with leaders and managers.
  • Experience coordinating activities with a focus on value for money.
  • Commitment to workplace inclusion.
