Lead Teaching and Learning Practitioner
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Practitioner Team to achieve excellence in teaching and learning for all students.
- Account for student performance according to Academy procedures.
- Provide accurate information to the Governing Body regarding Faculty performance and development.
- Support and participate in Harris Federation work, including strand or subject groups.
- Contribute to Academy policy and procedure formulation and implementation.
- Ensure high-quality teaching and learning within the Faculty or across the Academy.
- Participate in duties during lunch, break, before, during, and after school.
- Ensure exemplary subject knowledge and behavior within the Faculty.
- Maintain high-quality Schemes of Learning and Independent Workbooks.
Skills and Expertise
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Outstanding teaching practice and excellent behavior management.
- Experience with lesson observations and robust feedback.
- Proven experience in improvement planning and implementing strategies to raise student achievement.
- Experience in curriculum improvement.
- Strong track record of excellent results at KS3 and KS4, and ideally experience teaching KS5.
- Experience in high-quality pupil tracking and feedback.
- Experience in working with governors, and ideally in multiple schools.
- Proven communication skills to engage, inspire, and motivate, both within the school and wider community.
- Ongoing professional development.
