North Wales Fire and Rescue Service
department based in Conwy.
Working as part of the ICT Team, you will assist the team in all aspects
of support and development, as well as providing technical expertise,
experience and ideas. Using your knowledge of Microsoft Operating
Systems, virtual environments and associated technologies, you will
become part of a team that supports servers, software, networks and
projects that allow the Service to make North Wales a safer place to
live, work and visit.
As an infrastructure engineer, you will be working independently on
tasks supported by a close-knit team that shares knowledge and best
practice. You will be an effective communicator with a customer
focused approach to help develop sound relationships with
colleagues, customers and stakeholders to ensure understanding
when providing support or training.
Applicants should note that the team are located in Conwy but the
nature of the role means you may be required to work at different fire
service locations in order to install, maintain and resolve ICT problems,
therefore some travel to other locations may be required using a
Service vehicle.
There will also be a requirement for the postholder to participate in the
on-call rota, and once commenced, this will attract the additional
8.5% allowance.
As a bilingual organisation, the successful candidate will require Level
2 Welsh language skills.
