The Hand Therapy Team at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opening for either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with previous experience in Hand Therapy to join our team.
The role includes a varied patient caseload of trauma and acquired conditions of the hand and wrist, from both Orthopaedic and Plastic Hand Surgeons. Hand therapy is carried out in closed trauma fracture clinics, on the ward, and in out-patient settings for post-operative and non-operative patients. The team comprises 16 qualified therapists and a therapy assistant. There is regular MDT teaching and support for learning through in-service training and supervision.

The post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical staff member. They will have significant clinical experience in hand therapy, provide sound clinical expertise to their team and more junior staff and coordinate and deliver high quality care. They will be a role model for expert clinical care, and lead on specific projects / service developments and management functions as delegated by the Band 7 therapists or Clinical Lead therapists. They will role model the identified Trust values at all times.
