Strategic Finance Partner
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business to support strategic goals and manage costs.
- Develop, shape, and influence strategic direction, providing high-quality advice and insight.
- Report to Finance Director, gaining valuable experience and advancing career.
- Lead a team of Finance professionals supporting business areas.
- Deliver critical review and challenge for optimal resource use in investment decisions and business cases.
- Proactively influence cost and capital management leadership within the business.
- Oversee strategic finance activities, including product overlays for plan, forecast, and stress scenarios.
- Drive all business finance requirements (month-end, strategic planning, forecasting, functional reporting), ensuring timely issue escalation.
- Coach and develop a team of finance professionals, offering a positive customer experience and career enhancement.
Skills and Expertise
- Qualified accountant with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills at ExCo level.
- Strategic awareness and business knowledge, with expertise in challenging and supporting business plans.
- Understanding of long-term impacts of plans.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty, and risk in a flexible environment.
- Strong finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge with a focus on commerciality.
- Ability to provoke and lead strategic change within senior executive teams.
- Leadership and motivational skills for developing a finance team.
