Salary: £36,000 per annum

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Coded TIG Aluminium Welder Fabricator Fitter to join our team in Coventry. The ideal candidate must hold a coded standard qualification and have at least 5 years of experience in TIG welding, aluminium fabrication, and fitting. This role involves welding, fabricating, and fitting aluminium components to the highest industry standards. As a key member of our team, you will ensure precise, high-quality welds and fabricated parts that meet client specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
* TIG Welding (Coded Standard):
o Perform high-precision TIG welding on aluminium components to coded standards, ensuring strong, secure, and quality welds.
o Carry out welding tasks on aluminium parts of varying thicknesses and sizes, adhering to blueprints and technical drawings.
o Maintain compliance with welding codes and industry standards (e.g., BS EN 9606 or equivalent).
* Fabrication:
o Cut, shape, and assemble aluminium components using hand and power tools, including grinders, saws, drills, and presses.
o Interpret complex technical drawings and welding symbols to fabricate parts accurately.
o Measure, mark, and prepare materials for welding with high precision.
* Fitting:
o Assemble and install fabricated aluminium components, ensuring they meet required dimensions.
o Use clamps, jigs, and other tools to adjust, align, and position parts.
o Inspect and adjust parts to ensure proper fit and functionality.
* Inspection and Quality Control:
o Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure welds and fabricated parts meet coded standards and customer requirements.
o Perform thorough checks for defects such as porosity, cracks, and spatter, ensuring high-quality weld integrity.
o Complete all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, material traceability, and weld logs.
* Maintenance and Equipment Care:
o Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
o Replace consumables and report any issues with equipment to management.
* Health and Safety:
o Follow and promote safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
o Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including gloves, masks, and welding helmets.
o Maintain a clean and organized workspace in line with health and safety standards.

Requirements:
* Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience as a TIG welder with a focus on aluminium welding and fabrication.
o Must hold a coded standard qualification in TIG welding (e.g., BS EN 9606 or equivalent).
* Skills and Competencies:
o Proficient in TIG welding of aluminium to coded standards.
o Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, welding symbols, and blueprint interpretation.
o Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently.
o Experience in fitting and assembling components to precise measurements.
o High attention to detail and ability to produce precise, high-quality work.
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
* Health & Safety Knowledge:
o In-depth knowledge of welding safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
o Experience using appropriate PPE and following safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:
* Required:
o Coded Welding Qualification (e.g., BS EN 9606 or equivalent).
o Proven experience in TIG welding and aluminium fabrication.
o Previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:
* Full-time position with standard working hours (overtime as required).
* Salary of £36,000 per annum.
* Potential exposure to welding fumes, noise, and varying temperatures.
* PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided and must be worn at all times.
