ENFORCEMENT/LICENSING OFFICER – FIXED TERM

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Private Housing Environmental Health Team at Hull City Council.
We are looking to recruit an Enforcement/Licensing Officer to work within the team with a passion for improving housing conditions and caring for the residents of Hull.
Previous experience in Private Housing would be desirable but not essential.
However, it is essential you have a working knowledge of housing construction techniques, identifying defects and experience of working in either a housing standards enforcement team, construction/housing maintenance, experience at surveyor level or other appropriate experience which can be evidenced.
We would love to hear from any ex tradesman as we can provide training specific for this sector.
Some key responsibilities:

Carrying out residential property inspections and scoring hazards under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System
Preparing schedules of works
Issuing HMO licenses and undertaking further legal action

This posts is fixed term for 3 years due to funding.
