Employability Coach – Greater London
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure students have access to high-quality, safe, and appropriate work experience placements.
- Deliver proactive and inspiring preparation sessions, work-related activities, and employer engagement.
- Support students in reflecting on skills, experiences, and future choices.
Skills and Expertise
- Level 3 qualification or higher in Information Advice and Guidance, or relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
- Experience developing successful employer links.
- Experience developing and implementing work experience programs and understanding external guidance and requirements.
- Experience delivering creative and engaging activities to support student engagement in FE.
- Knowledge of the current job market and challenges in gaining paid employment.
- Understanding the needs of diverse student groups, particularly 16-18 year olds, regarding work experience, employability, and finding/keeping paid employment.
- Strong administration, planning, and organizational skills; prioritization of varied workload to meet deadlines and targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with employers and external stakeholders.
- Strong self-motivation, collaborative skills, initiative, and independent work.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and responsibility for own work.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others, elicit cooperation, and be open and responsive.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- IT literacy with advanced word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Commitment to training and development.
