Electrical Estates Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Hard Facilities Management (FM) services and subcontracted services at North Manchester General Hospital and other sites serviced by the NMGH Estates Team.
- Ensuring all buildings, plant & infrastructure are maintained safely and cost-effectively within agreed statutory requirements, NHS and Trust policies, and procedures.
- Managing and monitoring work programmes per HTM06-02 requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Collaborating with the Trust’s Energy & Sustainability team to ensure efficient energy, power, and utilities use.
- Testing, validation, certification, and registration of all Trust Estates Statutory Compliance requirements, by either in-house team, PFI service providers, or qualified subcontractors.
- Acting as site Authorised Person in several disciplines, following correct training.
- Utilizing professional knowledge and specialist knowledge acquired through courses and experience.
- Supporting in maintaining registers of Compliance as required by the Trust Compliance Manager and supporting the Compliance Manager in periodic audits.
- Reviewing the estate maintenance programme in conjunction with the NMGH Estates Manager/Officer to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and hospital policy for safety, environmental, and technical quality.
