Early Years Practitioner – Scottish Borders
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to all aspects of childcare and education in the Nursery class.
Take an active part in other appropriate duties as required.
Skills and Expertise:
At least one of the following qualifications:
• HNC in Childhood Practice/Childcare & Education
• SVQ Social Services (Children & Young People) SCQF 7 / SVQ 3 Childrens Care, Learning & Development
• Applicants with an SNNEB/NNEB may be considered where they can evidence a record of on-going CPD during the past 5 years
All successful applicants will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of appointment and maintain registration throughout the period of employment.

Grade: 6C
Hourly Rate: 15.72 – 16.98
Salary: 28689.33 – 30988.83 pro rata per annum (Term Time Only)
Contract Duration: Temporary until 25/06/2025
Hours: 35
Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement.
