Early Help and LAC Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a school ambassador and liaison for Looked After Children, their careers, and Virtual Schools.
  • Administer LAC funding, ensuring accurate financial and intervention records.
  • Manage and coordinate Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and track progress of LAC students.
  • Work closely with students, families, and external agencies to deliver targeted support.
  • Conduct Early Help Assessments, chair meetings, and maintain detailed records of interventions.
  • Monitor vulnerable students progress, attendance, and behaviour, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Lead advocacy efforts for young carers within the school.

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong understanding of LAC and Early Help procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable students.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and financial records.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and write comprehensive reports.
  • Experience in creating and implementing intervention plans.
