Key Responsibilities
- Work with Headteacher and Senior Leadership to promote inclusion and equality.
- Share in corporate responsibility for safeguarding and promoting student well-being and discipline.
- Progress the education and welfare of designated student groups.
- Impact on educational progress beyond assigned students.
- Lead, develop, and enhance teaching practice of others.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and delivery.
- Monitor teaching and learning.
- Make available full and up-to-date schemes of work.
- Advise on classroom management.
- Advise on student allocation to teaching groups.
- Advise on staffing allocation.
- Control expenditure allowances and fulfill Academys budgeting.
- Ensure usage, storage, and security of facilities and resources.
- Maintain relevant inventories.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience with industry best practices.
- Strong focus on encouraging student love of the subject.
- Experience in delivering world-class curriculum.
- Excellent knowledge of key skills and knowledge for GCSE.
- Ability to engage, inspire, and challenge students.
- Strong critical thinking and design understanding.
- Understanding of design’s historical and cultural context.
