Skills and Expertise
- Strong Design Technology Subject Knowledge (GCSE/A Level).
- Teaching Qualification (QTS) and Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience of assessment at key stages 3 & 4.
- Experience leading a team, and modelling best teaching practice.
- Proficient in ICT and its application to education.
- Proven understanding of Curriculum developments in Design Technology.
- Experience using assessment for learning strategies.
- Appreciation of quality learning, teaching, and assessment.
- Strong understanding of improving student learning and achievement.
- Confident use of standard ICT packages.
- Able to use student data to raise standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong enthusiasm for Design Technology.
- Creative problem-solving and willingness to adapt.
- Experience relating to students and understanding safeguarding.
- Desirable: Experience with SMART board/Promethean and key stage 5.
- Desirable: Skills in curriculum design and management.
