Deputy Manager – Nurse

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient running of the care home.
  • Collaborating with the Home Manager and multi-disciplined teams.
  • Managing all aspects of excellent nursing and residential care.
  • Supporting and maintaining budgetary and financial controls.
  • Promoting engaging and creative marketing initiatives.
  • Guiding and coaching colleagues on training and development.
  • Supervising all areas of the home, from resident care to handling emergencies.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and leadership in all situations.
  • Maintaining high standards and ensuring adherence to these by all colleagues.

Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
  • Management/Leadership experience (essential)
  • NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with active PIN
  • Caring nature and personal approach
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs
