  • Deputise for the Headteacher and undertake all professional duties in their absence.

  • Taking on teaching duties when needed
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Monitoring and advising on pupil safeguarding
  • Leading and taking responsibility for Safeguarding procedures
  • Liaising with other schools
  • Promoting equality and diversity
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Collaborating with other agencies
  • Working in partnership with the governing body
  • Providing information, objective advice, and support to the Headteacher
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing school policies, priorities and targets
  • Ensuring parents/carers are well-informed
  • Contributing to school development planning and self-evaluation
  • Meeting regularly with the Headteacher and leadership team
  • Strategic planning, budget preparation and monitoring
  • Being attuned to national developments, best practices and innovation in the field of SEN
