Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient running of the care home.
  • Working collaboratively with the Home Manager and team to provide excellent care.
  • Managing and maintaining budgetary and financial controls.
  • Managing Human Resources and acting in the best interests of all involved.
  • Developing and implementing engaging marketing initiatives.
  • Guiding and coaching colleagues on training and development.
  • Providing care and support in all areas of the home, from personal items to complex emergencies.
  • Maintaining high standards of care and leading by example.

Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
  • Management and Leadership experience (essential)
  • Leadership qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide a personal approach to care
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong work ethic and resilience
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging personality
  • Respectful and compassionate attitude
