Regional Culinary Lead – Milton Keynes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head of food to deliver the obsessed manifesto across the region.
  • Providing strong culinary leadership and expertise to multiple locations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, recipes, and culinary guidelines.
  • Collaborating with culinary teams to develop innovative and appealing menus, meeting customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and regional trends.
  • Training, mentoring, and motivating culinary staff to achieve excellence in food preparation, presentation, and service, conducting regular training sessions.
  • Maintaining strict quality control across all locations, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation of dishes, conducting inspections and evaluations to address issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards, implementing and enforcing proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Managing food and labor costs within budgetary constraints, analyzing financial reports and implementing strategies to minimize expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Fostering strong relationships and effective communication with other departments (operations, marketing, procurement) to align goals, streamline processes, and ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Staying updated on culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the dining experience.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience in a demanding kitchen at the relevant level
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above
  • Team player
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills with suppliers
  • Understanding of food provenance and sourcing
