Clinical Development Nurse – Oxfordshire
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care for residents.
- Oversee nursing homes in Oxfordshire (Witney, Chipping Norton, Tewkesbury, Wiltshire, Cheltenham).
- Review and support the performance of every home to ensure highest clinical standards.
- Review clinical governance database and KPIs, analyze results, and identify practical strategies to meet regulations and improve care.
- Plan and help implement key actions to address issues and improve standards.
- Organize new training, attract senior clinical staff, and deliver clinical investigations.
Skills and Expertise
- Practice nursing experience with strong and up-to-date clinical practice.
- Extensive experience of residents/patient care and confidence in managing chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, asthma) and wound dressings.
- Excellent leadership skills and passion for delivering best care.
- Current NMC registration, RN (General).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience in a care home environment.
- Experience as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly-qualified nurses.
- Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements.
- Sharp analytical mind, ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver action plans.
