Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality clerical support to facilitate department administration.
- Assisting with outpatient and day case reception duties.
- Recording outpatient appointments.
- Collecting and preparing case notes.
- Working closely with administrators, medical secretaries, and clinical teams.
- Managing outpatient and day case clinic preparation (forms, blood tests, tracking).
- Managing waiting lists for day case investigations.
- Providing clerical support to the secretarial team.
- Reminding patients of appointments via telephone.
- Adhering to clinic scheduling and booking instructions.
- Managing bone density scan bookings to meet diagnostic targets.
- Liaising with nursing staff for accurate day case scheduling.
- Ensuring patient information is sent prior to procedures.
- Scanning paperwork into patient case notes.
- Collating and distributing correspondence.
- Reviewing working practices, identifying improvements, and solving problems.
- Undertaking general clerical tasks as delegated.
