Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy are looking to appoint a Class Teacher, 3 days teaching in Y4 and 2 days floating cover in the first instance, to provide high quality, supportive, engaging, teaching for the pupils in our school. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. We are looking for someone who:

Your core duties will be:

  • Leading a class of pupils, managing behaviour, with high expectations
  • Planning and resourcing lessons to a high standard so that pupils learn well
  • Teaching a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
  • Adapting teaching for pupils with SEND to ensure good progress for all learners
  • Providing high quality marking and feedback so that pupils know what they are doing well and how to improve
  • Deploying and leading teaching assistants in supporting children’s learning
  • Assessing pupils and planning next steps in learning
  • Possibly leading a curriculum area across school
