Children’s Support Worker – Aran Hall School

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours within a residential care and educational setting.
  • Mentoring and role modelling positive behaviours.
  • Supporting young people in home and classroom environments.
  • Teaching life skills, including cooking, cleaning, and academic support.
  • Planning and implementing engaging activities based on young people’s interests (e.g., gaming, walks, sports).
  • Proactively planning activities to ensure a wide range of hobbies are accessible.

Skills and Expertise

  • Passion for working with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.

Job Facilities/Benefits

  • Salary: 23,359 – 24,705.80 (plus weekend bonus, dependent on experience)
  • Full-time position with 2 days on, 4 days off rota + additional 12 hrs every 6 weeks.
