Key Responsibilities

  • Managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
  • Supporting new team members with learning procedures and kitchen standards.
  • Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, including fine dining for functions.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a chef team and acting as a trainer/coach.
  • Following recipe cards, preparing, cooking, and serving meals.
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock checks, food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
  • Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
  • Completing daily paperwork and assisting with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

Skills and Expertise

  • Relevant culinary qualification (minimum NVQ level 2)
  • Excellent team player and communicator
  • Confident chef
  • Flexibility and the ability to innovate

Job Facilities/Benefits

  • Full-time position (11.75/hour, 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including weekends)
