Chef Position at Ellen Mhor
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve nutritional, balanced, and appealing meals.
- Provide special diets, considering individual preferences and needs.
- Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients’ nutritional and dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment according to Cygnet procedures.
- Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
Skills and Expertise
- Skilled Chef with ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the care sector (preferred).
- Able to plan nourishing and attractive menus within budgets.
- Hold a food hygiene certificate with good personal hygiene standards.
- Polite, professional, positive attitude towards internal and external guests.
- Excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels.
- Able to work independently, as part of a team, and under supervision.
- Qualified in catering to City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3
- Adherence to infection control and cleanliness policies.
