Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the development and provision of high-quality care to all service users, including organizing formal keywork sessions and the preparation and review of care plans.
- Assist clients with accessing local services and amenities (including leisure and recreational facilities) and, where necessary, to accompany service users to GP, hospital, dentist, and optician appointments.
- Assist clients with shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry as required, In conjunction with other members of staff, to accompany clients on holidays.
- Be a team player, attend and actively participate in team meetings and 1:1s, as well as all relevant training.
- Liaise with relatives, advocates, legal representatives, care co-coordinators and other external professionals as appropriate and in accordance with data protection requirements.
- Complete all daily logs, communications books, diaries, and handover sheets in accordance with organisational standards.
- Administer medication in accordance with organisational standards and legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions with associated receipts for all petty cash and service user expenditure.
- Keep the communal and common areas clean, in line with infection control, food and hygiene protocols.
- Support Service users to places of worship, including Mosques, Churches, Synagogue etc
Skills and Expertise
- Experience in working with vulnerable adults with mental illness, complex needs or challenging behaviour (advantageous).
- NVQ Level 2 or above (advantageous).
