Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing home operations to meet or exceed goals, ensuring high-quality care.
• Supervise care staff and assume full management duties in the Home Manager’s absence.
• Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work through direct instruction and example.
• Support the Home Manager with pre-admission resident assessments.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date care plans and daily records for residents.
• Foster effective communication with residents’ families and external organizations.

Skills and Expertise

• Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
• Ability to understand residents’ needs and provide excellent care.
• Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with external professionals, families, visitors, and the staffing team.
• Experience promoting resident and family involvement in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with relevant experience – essential.
