Car/Van Driver – Burton-on-Trent

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided Car/Van to deliver goods and services within the Burton-on-Trent area.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues. Report any findings promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic and transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with clients and providing outstanding customer service.
• Document and update delivery status on designated paperwork or electronic devices.
• Assist in warehouse activities, including sorting and organizing goods as required.

Skills and Expertise

• Valid and clean UK driving license, preferably with category B entitlement.
• Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver in a similar role is desirable.
• Ability to handle a variety of goods safely and securely during transportation.
• Strong knowledge of traffic rules, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient delivery routes.
• Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Physical fitness to perform duties that involve frequent lifting and carrying of goods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
