Key Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to develop their business and understand the local market, providing excellent service.
  • Maintaining high standards in stock, food safety (including recording), fresh meat and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing a business plan to support sales and profitability growth with the Store Manager.
  • Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful advice with a smile.
  • Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking.
  • Developing and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
  • Cutting meat to order.
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.
  • Controlling waste.

Skills and Expertise

  • Experience in butchery.
  • Excellent product knowledge of all meat proteins.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven approach.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Team management experience.
  • Stock management proficiency.
