Key Responsibilities

• Support the Technology & Transformation Department in delivering the corporate plan by contributing to project and change initiatives.
• Provide specialist system and process knowledge for effective technology implementation and development.
• Understand customer needs and recommend solutions to meet those needs.
• Ensure all system changes undergo thorough impact assessment, documentation, and transition to business as usual.
• Act as the system and process expert for assigned technologies, bringing technical knowledge to projects and changes.
• Work with internal customers to understand their needs using various techniques (workshops, demonstrations, shadowing, etc.).
• Challenge perceived needs to identify true business drivers and requirements.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on system, financial, governance, process, timescale, architecture, infrastructure, data privacy, and information security considerations.
• Champion process optimization during change delivery.
• Analyse options for solutions, exploring existing technologies first and researching new ones when necessary.
• Fully impact assess changes and ensure solutions align with existing architecture, infrastructure, and security principles.
• Recommend and take accountability for proposed solutions, managing stakeholder expectations.
• Configure and implement new solutions, ensuring effective embedding and handover to business as usual.
• Implement and configure technologies in accordance with IT processes.
• Define test plans with Test Analysts, conducting system testing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
• Understand product roadmaps to recommend internal business process improvements or solution opportunities.
• Produce and maintain up-to-date relevant documentation.
• Mentor colleagues, building their system support and development knowledge.
• Contribute to the improvement of business systems analyst processes, including template and guidance creation.
