Business Model Lead Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all business operating model change across Finance, ensuring alignment with global principles and external insights to support Finance and bank-wide priorities.
  • Collaborate with Finance ExCo sponsors, senior business leaders, and Global Process Owners to understand future Finance visions, delivering prioritized business operating model reviews, future design, and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline Finance outcomes, services, and processes for improved efficiency.
  • Deliver future business operating model transformation according to the design framework, considering customer outcomes, processes, services, architecture, future skills, roles, location, responsibilities, and accountabilities to support decision making.
  • Partner with business leads, Global Process Owners, Business Architecture, process management teams, HR, and SMEs to design simpler business operating models across Finance and implement plans for change, including adoption and embedding.
  • Understand external insights and industry benchmarking to support current and future business operating model improvements.
  • Lead and coach the Business Operating Model team on applying the design framework and tools to simplify ways of working (time, cost, quality, control).
  • Define, track, and report on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) resulting from business operating model change.
  • Provide design inputs to the Operating Model Design Authority to ensure compliance with design principles.
  • Oversee the production of all business operating model design documentation on outcomes, products/services, roles, and responsibilities.

Skills and Expertise

  • Holistic understanding of Business Operating Model design.
  • Understanding of systems and process architecture.
  • Strong stakeholder and programme management skills.
  • Experience delivering Operating Model change across Finance.
  • Business operating model design experience.
  • Consultancy environment experience using data-led analysis for change justification and strategic decision influence.
  • Strong business knowledge of accounting processes, statutory, regulatory, and risk reporting.
  • Experience leading and coaching senior teams in complex business operating model re-engineering.
  • Strong data analysis skills for identifying, tracking, and reporting OKRs.
  • Experience with industry benchmarking and leveraging external insights.
  • Programme Management skills for planning, tracking, and reporting Finance-wide business operating model plans.
