Assistant Store Manager Opportunity – Aberystwyth

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and excel in creating amazing value everyday.
  • Act as the vital link between the Store Manager and the store team.
  • Shape the experiences of both your team and customers.
  • Drive sales and use creative flair when merchandising on and off-plan.
  • Showcase amazing value on GM and FMCG products.
  • Create an environment that embodies the core values of love for customers, care for colleagues, and protecting profits.
  • Lead daily huddles to ensure commercial objectives (sales, service, and shrink) are met.
  • Ensure products are priced, merchandised, and maintained for smooth store operations.
  • Manage new colleague inductions and collaborate with supervisors for ongoing training and development through on-the-job coaching.
  • Support the Store Manager in supporting the team.
  • Deliver excellent customer service consistently to the highest standards, going above and beyond for customers.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to create a safe working environment.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in retail environments.
  • Merchandising and visual merchandising skills.
  • Knowledge of sales and inventory management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Retail experience, possibly in a similar role.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to meet key performance targets.
