Assistant Psychologist
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations
- Facilitating psychological interventions (1:1 and/or group) and monitoring/reporting effectiveness
- Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training
- Assisting with reflective practice for staff
- Maintaining clinical databases
- Completing outcome measures
- Writing reports for various audiences
- Service evaluation and research tasks (including data collection, analysis, and reporting)
- Undertaking clinically relevant audits
Skills and Expertise
- Upper second-class honours degree in Psychology (BPS eligibility)
- Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in forensic and/or mental health
- Experience with office systems and administration tasks
- Creative thinking and clinical efficacy
- Commitment to evidenced-based therapeutic interventions
- Strong organisation skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Adherence to HCPC standards and BPS code of ethics
